my story

Josh Davies

Josh has always had a huge interest in sports and played most things growing up. He eventually concentrated more on Ice Hockey for the junior Cardiff Devils and Rugby for Whitchurch High. He managed to get asked to play for South West GB team in Ice Hockey and win 2 Welsh Cups with Whitchurch High in rugby.

He played rugby all the way through school as Sams back row partner, blind side or open side, it just depended who was less tired each time we scrummed down! Josh went on to play for UWE in university and he hung up the boots after his final year varsity game.

Josh studied Marketing at UWE and soon after he graduated he went travelling around the world. He pitched up in Melbourne for around 3.5 years and fully moved back to the UK when he was 27. Upon returning he completed his PT qualifications and started as a personal trainer both in person and online. He’s helped hundreds of people transform not only physically but mentally too.

Josh had the idea to create a strength and conditioning programme deigned specifically for rugby players and with Sam having retired a few years prior it was perfect timing. They were able to start the academy in 2019 and although they had to navigate through the pandemic, they’ve been able to help 5000+ people in their first few years.
